Janurary 2005 pt. 2
More bling from the Detroit show.
Detroit • The Lamborghini roadster from behind.  Imran, admit that it's freaking amazing.
Detroit • The Show floor.  In the distance is more of the Mercedes booth (Maybach anyone?) and the ginormous Ford Motor Co. display.
Detroit • Carrera GT from the back.  The cool mesh cover hides the what is essentially a race-bred V10.
Detroit • The Jeep Hurricane, voted "Most Fun" by AutoWeek.  It has a Hemi V8 in the front and another one in the back.  That's a net of 16 cylinders for the math majors out there.  Check the Wrangler just chilling on the wall in the background.
Detroit •  The C6 Corvette Z06.  500hp, and an aluminum frame and balsa wood floors to save weight.  Overkill?  Nah, it's just enough.  Ah, we came agonizingly close to joining the Z06 family but Dad decided that he'd rather not get arrested.
Detroit • The Cadillac STS-V.  This beast of a car will hopefully be replacing the battered 5 Series in the garage at home.  Well, probably not the V version, but an STS.  And don't give me crap about American brands sucking because now I can say "let's roll in the Caddy."  What!
Detroit • The Ferrari 612.  Understated elegance.  The ultimate date car.  And this was about as close as you could get without having the purchasing power to actually get into the booth.
Detroit •  The C6 Corvette Z06 chassis.  It really is just a massive engine strapped to a set of wheels.  But yo, technically, this 7.0L is still a "small block."  Beautiful.
