Episode 11: Lovefool
With Valentine's Day approaching, Lazarus High is abuzz with plans for the Valentine's Day Dance. Misty and Eugene are helping the decorating committee get ready for the dance when Eugene suggests some strange ideas for decorating. The head of the Dance committee, Cailin McGuiness, tells Eugene that maybe its best if he just did the decorating the way that she suggested.

During class the next day, Eugene is passing out invitations to the Valentine's Day to every girl in the class. That evening at the Dorm while the Group is finishing supper, Cailin stops by to talk to Misty about helping finish the decorating the next morning for the dance. One of the cheerleaders, Cassie also shows up to pick up Sharon for practice. Suddenly there's a strange glow and all the teenagers in the room see things in a different light.

Shawn offers to walk Sharon to practice while Jason is willing to be Cassie's protector. Eugene offers to walk Cailin home and Misty jumps at the chance to help Father Paul with research on Saragoss, the Demon trapped under the city. Walking the girls to cheerleading practice, Jason asks Cassie questions about the team which Sharon is quick to answer. Sharon seems to do her best to be right beside Jason during the whole walk. Jason asks Cassie if she'll be going to the dance the next night. She tells him that she's going with Eddie. Sharon tells Jason that she's not going with anyone if he was interested. He tells Sharon that he's probably going to go stag and Shawn pips up to say that he's looking for someone to go with. Sharon tells him that she's going stag with Jason.

Meanwhile Eugene asks Cailin to the dance and she turns him down almost gently. She tells him that they've arrived at her place and goes inside. He stays outside and looks up at what he believes is his window. He stays on the lawn for almost an hour just watching the window.

Misty and the Father are researching when Misty is super-attentive to the Father. He realizes that something is amiss so he excuses himself and heads off to do some research on his own. He tells Misty to wait here and goes off to find something that will help them. Little does he know that someone is waiting for him to leave.

Jason arrives at the football field and tells the coach that he is wanted back at the office. He goes up to Eddie and starts goading him on. Jason tells Eddie to go long, but Eddie trying to be cocky tells Jason that he'll stay where he is so he makes sure that the football makes it all the way to him. With a smile on his face, Jason throws the football at Eddie with all his strength. Eddie flies backwards and lands with a thump. As the other players go and check on Eddie, Jason walks off and heads back to the gym where the cheerleaders are practicing.

Later as they head back to the dorm, Shawn, Jason and Sharon are shocked to find the door open. They hear Eugene singing in his room, and the Father and Misty are nowhere to be seen. A quick check of the house and they find Misty unconscious in the library. Waking Misty up they find out that some of the books are missing from the library. The book that contains information on Saragoss, the book on the history of the town and another book seem to be stolen. A look around the house shows that there were four intruders and that they were all wearing sneakers, a strange sight in February. Figuring that it was zombies who stole the books, the group decides that the best place to look for them is starting at the old Mill. Father Cullen returns and sends Shawn off to the clinic with Misty to get her checked out. They then gather up weapons and head to the Mill picking up Misty and Shawn after she gets checked over.

When they arrive at the Mill, the zombies are arriving carrying a backpack and lead by Nancy, everyone's favorite zombie witch. Jason runs in for an attack on Nancy, going for a decapitation but Nancy dodges and Jason slashes her across the chest. Eugene takes his axe and attacks the zombie carrying the backpack. He causes the zombie to drop the bag and when the zombie attacks him, Eugene is able to cut off the zombie's hand. Shawn stands by Sharon, protecting her from harm. Misty is able to damage one of the other zombies, and the Father stays in the car, reading something from an old book that he has in his glove compartment. Jason cuts off Nancy's hand before she can cast a spell against Shawn and before she teleports away, she throws a knife at Sharon, causing Jason's obsession with Sharon to kick in and he jumps in front of Sharon and catches the knife. Sharon turns to Jason and to thanks him by kissing him. As Jason returns the kiss, Father Cullen finishes the counterspell and is able to break the Love spell.

After recovering from the shock of what happened, the group realized that Saragoss must have needed something in the books that were stolen and that they have to make sure that he never gets what is in them.
