Episode 2: The Doll
As the teens adjust to living in their new homes, they have to adjust to each other as well. Misty is exploing her new surroundings and the room that she shares with Sharon when she hears something strange. Looking around the room, trying to figure out where the sound is coming from, she hears it again and determines that it was coming from a chest in the middle of the room. When she opens the chest, to her horror she sees hundreds of eyes and dozens of little heads staring at her. She screams.
When the others come running to see what happened she tells them about the eyes. Sharon opens the chest and shows them her doll collection. There are dozens of dolls in the chest, all of them looking like little girls. After Misty calms down, the group decide to take a break and head into town to do some shopping. When they stop off at a toystore, Jason and Eugene are in shock to find mint Star Wars action figures for cheap prices. They snatch them up and plan on selling them on E-Bay. Meanwhile, Sharon is ecstatic when she discovers an antique doll on the shelf behind the counter. When she asks how much it is, the shop keeper tells her that its fifty dollars. When she checks her purse, that is the exact amount that she has on her. When she gets home, she puts her new find on her bedside table. Misty is shocked to see the doll when she gets home from work.
Over the next couple of days, Sharon starts acting strange. She seems to be getting paler and weaker. The group starts noticing that while Sharon is getting paler, the doll's color also seems to be changing. And the doll's is getting warmer.
Father Calone,Misty and Shawn go into Misty and Sharon's room to get the doll. When they open the door and Shawn and Misty go in the door slams behind them. They are trapped in the room with the Doll. Suddenly the Doll starts talking to them; telling them that they are not going to stop its plan of taken over Sharon's life. All the other dolls on the shelf turn their heads towards them and The Doll tells them that soon all its friends will be free. Every doll on Sharon's shelf is now the home of a Demon and soon they will be free to drain more girls.
The Doll starts to use its power to hurl things at Misty and Shawn. Somehow the items are deflected away from them. Father Calone is able to open the door and succeeds in exorcising the doll. Unfortunately he succumbs to a heart attack after the Demon is banished. He dies in the hospital without waking up.
After his funeral, Father Cullen is placed in charge of the Museum and the students in Nightengale Hall. |
