Chapter 1: The Arrival Of The Others
Raven and Riana Riddle sat in the great hall with Professor Snape, Dumbledore, and Professor McGonagall.
“So we’re being sorted during the first years sorting?” Riana asked coolly. Her face held no expression and she blinked boredly.
“Yes Miss Riddle, that is correct!” Professor Dumbledore answered with a warm smile.
“Now Raven, why don’t you and your sister wait for the Hogwarts’ Express out front,” Snape ordered loudly. “There are things to be done and you girls are going to be very busy very soon.”
“Yes, Severus,” Raina replied. “By the way, I’m not Raven.”
The two girls left the hall and traveled out to the front of the castle just as the train arrived. They could see Hagrid across the lake setting up the boats for the first years.
“Mmm I see some fresh meat,” Raina whispered, licking her lips seductively.
“I bet you just can’t wait to sink your teeth into that one,” Raven replied with a quiet laugh.
Straight ahead of the girls came Oliver Wood. He was carrying a broomstick and a small badge on his robe read “Coach”.
“Ooh, an older man,” Raina smiled quietly to herself. “This could get very interesting.”
Raven smiled at her sister mischievously. “Oh Raina, I love the way your devious little mind works!”
Raina nodded, her dark eyes glinting in the night.

After all the students had been seated the first years were brought in, and the sorting hat was placed on a stool.
“Ahem!” Dumbledore cleared his throat loudly and tapped on the side of his glass with a spoon as usual. “Before the first year students are sorted, this year we have two very special new arrivals. This is Raven and Raina Riddle. Girls…”
The two girls stepped forward as Dumbledore coaxed. As soon as they were in plain view, the hall erupted in amazed whispers. Words of “twins”, “beautiful”, “dark witches”, and “oh my God I’m in heaven” were heard from table to table. Fred and George Weasley were practically falling out of their seats trying to get a better look, and the whole Slytherin smiled with victory. There was no doubt where these two would be placed. The immense power that had filled the room was amazing, and the professors of the school looked on grimly. Intensity such as this hadn’t been seen at Hogwarts since Voldemort had attended.
“Right, now to start the sorting,” Professor McGonagall motioned for Raven to sit on the stool. Then the hat was picked up to be placed on her head, but before the hat had even touched Raven’s head, it burst into flames. Professor McGonagall gasped and dropped the hat. She pointed at it with her wand.
“Flamore Nonus!” the fire went out as quickly as it had started.
“Alright!” McGonagall yelled to the room. “Whomever did that will regret it greatly. It was dangerous and ill mannered. That could have caused harm to both Raina and myself!”
“I’m Raven,” she spoke quietly with an annoyed look on her face.
“Sorry Miss Riddle, quite right. Now hopefully we will have no more spontaneous combustion of the sorting hat.”
The great hall looked on in complete silence. The only people that didn’t look shocked were Raven, Raina, Dumbledore and Snape. A small first year in the corner of the room had even started to cry.
McGonagall placed the hat back towards Raven’s head, but it wasn’t even close to her when it yelled “She’s Slytherin! SLYTHERIN!” A puff of smoke rose from its mouth.
Riana’s sorting wasn’t much better. Not only did the hat burn once again, but this time Professor McGonagall couldn’t put it out in time, and the hat had to squeak “Slytherin,” while still in flames.
The rest of the sorting was also a disaster. The hat didn’t ignite anymore, but all the first years were afraid it might, and McGonagall finally got so desperate that she put fireproofing spells on all of their heads. The feast went well, and Slytherin cheered, smiled and gloated the rest of the night about Raven and Raina being placed in their house.
Finally it was time to get to the houses. A blond haired boy with deep blue eyes introduced himself as Draco Malfoy. Raina ran her tongue over her teeth seductively and smiled.
“Isn’t that nice,” she stated sweetly then turned to leave.
Draco stared after the two girls wide eyed. Raven cocked an eyebrow and smiled at her twin.
“Starting in a little early aren’t we?”
“You can never start too early,” Raina replied, walking confidently up the stairs to the girls’ dorms. “Never.”
