Chapter 2: First Class
The first class of the year was Potions with Professor Snape. The class was shared with the Gryffindors. Raina and Raven sat up front, close to Severus. They’d grown attached to him over the past few months…he was the only father they’d ever had.
“Hi there, I’m Harry,” Harry said, surprisingly straightforward to Raina.
“Yes, you are,” Raina replied, ruffling his hair and then turning back to Snape’s lesson.
“MR. POTTER!” Snape roared. “Perhaps it would do you better to pay attention to the teacher and your studies instead of focusing on Raina…ahem Miss Riddle!”
Harry felt his cheeks burn bright red.
“Heh yeah Potter, she’s too far out of your league anyway,” Harry heard Malfoy mutter from the back of the room. Crabbe and Goyle snickered loudly. Raven smiled knowingly at her sister, and Raina plastered a look of pure innocence on her face.

After class Harry and Ron followed the girls through the corridor.
“Hey,” Harry said, walking up beside them
“Oh, hi,” raven said quietly.
“Professor Snape is someone you gotta watch out for. He’s really creepy,” Ron told them.
“He’s our guardian,” Raven replied coldly.
“He’s WHAT?!” Ron exclaimed.
“He adopted us,” Raina’s eyes flashed.
“Uh, you’ll have to excuse my friend, he’s a little…uh…” Harry trailed off
“Excuse me for interrupting, but shouldn’t YOU two be getting to Herbology?” A girl with frizzy brown hair said to Ron and Harry.
“Oh, hush up Hermione, we’ve got lots of time!” Ron said, frustrated.
“Well, we don’t” Raven said, grabbing her sister by the arm and walking down the corridor towards their Divination class.

“So what’s the story with that Harry kid?” Raven asked Raina as they sat in the library after class.
“I dunno…he’s kinda cute,” Raina replied.
“Potter…cute?! Are you mad daft?” Draco said from behind.
“You stupid asshole, SHUT up!” Raina exclaimed.
“Ooh, does Raina have a little crush?” Draco teased.
“Not as big as YOUR crush on Raven!” Raina slammed shut her book and left the library.
Raven’s cheeks flushed, then she followed after Raina.
“Why did you say that?” Raven asked, puzzled at her sister’s antics.
“I dunno, it just popped into my head I guess,” Raina replied.
The girls walked on in silence for about 10 minutes before realizing that they had no clue where they were.
“Uh, Raina…Where are we?” Raven asked.
“I thought you knew! I was following you!” Raina stopped so abruptly that a guy who was walking behind her crashed into her and fell to the ground.
Raina’s eyes flashed in annoyance, but her face softened when she turned around to find a very nice looking guy wearing a Quidditch sweater.
“Uh, sorry…” he stammered, blushing.
“No biggie…my name’s Raina,” she smiled sweetly.
“Oliver. Pleased to…well, I guess we sorta met,” he grinned.
Raven rolled her eyes. ‘Here we go again’ she thought.
