The Major Arcana
The Major Arcana are the first 22 cards (the Fool 0 to The World 21) of the typical Tarot deck.

A Major Arcana represents an energy that is deep, strong, decisive, or long term. When a Major Arcana card appears in a reading, you have tapped into a powerful energy in some area of your life. The querent can expect significant life changes and feelings of considerable importance.

The Major Arcana cards can also refer to the workings of fate. The querent may be swept up in a flow of events not entirely in his or her control. The Major Arcana trumps refer to matters of great significance, to personal transformation, and life crises.

You can assume that a Major Arcana card brings greater energy to whatever area it represents. Give that aspect extra consideration and take advantage of the power building there.

Please Note
**Some cards will have a negative (-) and positive (+) aspect to them. Which meaning you use depends on the rest of the spread. If the tone of the spread is generally negative, example if there are a strong predominance of Swords and reversed cards - then the negative meanings is more likely to apply. A not so negative spread would imply the positive aspects. But again these interpretations are just a guideline for you to use, please use your own intuition and judgment when doing an actual reading**
Below are links that will take you to a description of each Major Arcana card. The cards I have used are the Rider-Waite deck, seeing they are the most common deck used.
