I see pixel blinkie racks all over the place, but I never know what to
put on top of them, so I created a little pixel lamp that will look nice on top
of one...(I also put my flower pot and a candle I made on top of it
as well to see how it looks and I liked it, so I thought you might as well)
Also, even without a shelf/rack, it's pretty easy to do for a beginner.
I've numbered all lines that are more than one or two pixels...
Remember to SAVE... and OFTEN!
Just some things to know before we start... you will use
your magic wand and your flood fill a bit in this tutorial...
so here is what they look like for anyone that is new to paintshop pro...
(I am using psp 7 but this can be done with psp 8 as well)
open a new image... 60X60 and zoom in by 5
BR> Set foreground color to #008080 and begin
Click inside the outline and flood fill with #00BBBB
Go to Effects,
3d Effects... Cutout... using these settings:
vertical: -1
horizontal: 4
opacity: 90
blur: 6.3
shadow color: #008080
fill interior with color: unchecked

New layer to give the lamp shade some design marks (these are up to you,
I used a simple design with these colors: #C0FFFF & #FDE29B)
Here are mine:

Merge layers again.
For the lamps base and the topper, create a new layer and set your
foreground color to a nice bronze looking color... #DA955E (or as close as I can come

Click into the bottom of the base and flood fill with #DBB597
Now, give the stand some highlights using #E6D2C2

Create a new layer for the pull cord.
Changing the foreground color to #753C33.
Merge layers and save.
