"Now it's time for Superstretch, man of rubber, and his wife Microwoman, world's smallest super heroine. An incredible crime-fighting team that makes the impossible look easy."

Superstretch and Microwoman were a husband and wife superhero team, each with the ability to change shape. Microwoman could shrink down to a miniature size with a nice animation effect change sequence. She frequently used their dog Trouble as a mount, who would spring her up to his nape with a quick flick of his tail.

Highly reminiscent of the classic 40s and 50s comic superhero, Plastic Man, Superstretch could stretch into virtually any form he desired. In one episode alone, he took the shape of a raft, a pump, a plane and a perfect imitation of a villain. In another, he shifted into a helicoptor, a robot, and a bridge.

SS&MW was very lightweight adventure fun, but still bursting with plenty of action. It was the second Filmation animated adventure series to feature major African-American leads, the other being the earlier, ill-fated Space Sentinels, which featured Astrea, the group leader.

Episode titles:

Bad Things Come in Small Packages - The Ringmaster - The Toymaker - Future Tense - Phantom of the Sewers - Shadow of the Swamp - The Great Candy Bar Caper - The Superstretch Bowl - Superstarch and Magnawoman - Sugar Spice and Gnome Man's Land
