Both Tim and I are acrosport gymnasts.  Together we have over 14 years of acro experience.

I was first introduced to acrosport gymnastics my freshman year in high school.  I attended a Seventh-day Adventist Academy in North Dakota, Dakota Adventist Academy, and became part of their team, the Acrolights, under the direction of Tedd Webster.  While acrosports in an international competative sport, many Adventist academies and colleges/universities have acrosport exhibition teams. Almost all of these schools incorporate "Say No to Drugs" messages into their shows and performances.

After graduating from academy, I had the opportunity to join the Southern Adventist University  Gym-masters under the direction of Steve Jaecks.  My husband, Tim, was also a member of the team.  While on the Gym-masters, we were able to perform in the Columbus Day Parade in New York City as well as at several NBA half-time performance--the Chicago Bulls, the New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, and others.  We performed more than once at several of these events.  The Gym-masters also toured and performed for local schools and colleges/universities.

After my first year at Southern Adventist University, Tim and I transferred to Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.  We were members of the Union College Gymnaires coached by Frank Martinez for three years.  While on the Gymnaires, we had the opportunity to tour to several different schools in the Midwest--North Dakota, Minnesota, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri.  We also traveled to several SDA colleges for Acrofest, an acrobatic extravaganza/convention for SDA academies and colleges.  Our team also traveled to Mexico during Spring Break 2000 to build an Adventist church in Paraiso, State of Tabasco, Mexico.

From 2001-2003, Tim and I taught at Guam Adventist Academy where we also coached the Acro-Zorries.  While we no longer got to perform gymnastics, we taught 26 students from grades 8-12.  Currently we are teachers at Mount Vernon Academy, and although we don't coach, we will will always be gymnasts at heart!
