Tassie's Room

Tassie was a little fawn pug.  He was only 6 years old when he went to Rainbow Bridge on June 02, 2001, a victim of Pug Dog Encephalatis.  Tassie and I spent a lot of time togther and he was always there to help me when I would spend hours making quilts.  He always sat on my quilts admiring my handiwork.  His total devotion and loyaltywas an inspiration.   In Tassie's memory, I've started making quilts to aid research into this terrible and always terminal disease, and to help other puppy mill pugs and other rescues.

Here is the quilt I made for Tassie's vet, Dr. Geoff Hampton of Island View Veterinary Clinic, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.  I finished it the night before Tassie died

Here is Tassie admiring his new quilt.
Sadly, he crossed "Rainbow Bridge" the next morning.

If you would like one of Tassie's quilts with  photos of your pets or other family members, please e-mail Christine .  These quilts are 36" x 36" and are suitable for a wall hanging. The cost is $75 (U.S.) and all monies will be forwarded to organizations doing research into PDE and to aid in puppymill rescue.  From time to time, I will post photographs of other quilt designs as they become available.
