| Tyranid takeover part 3. I travelled further down the bio chemical chamber. The ship was pumping with some kind of life. I felt uncertain on what was happening around me as if any second a tyranid genestealer or hormagaunt would just jump out at me. My scope searched the walls they beamed with heat and chemicals that I have never seen registered before. As my jet pack trailers burned the floor below me I could hear small moans as if something was dieing. The whole aura of this ship was strange. But what I found even weirder was ORKS. What were orks doing on a tyranid ship and why were they helping them. I have known orks to be traitors and to turn back deals or to kill friendly races. But the tyranids, they just don’t go around allying with any one, infact they don’t ally they are too barbaric and have no way have communicating with the orks. I hated not knowing what was going on, I felt so isolated and weak. As if everything around me new what and why I was here but I knew nothing about them. As I appeared to be getting nearer to the core of the ship I could hear a faint rustling in the board decks around me they seemed to be twisting, moving and following my tracks. This whole ship looked as if it was connected to some main source of power. I needed to find this wealth of energy and destroy it. The sudden realisation that this ship was a living machine distracted me from what I needed to do. As I crossed another intersection in the hundreds of corridors all over the ship. My sensor showed a large white sheet of heat and I new that this was what I needed to kill. I trailed towards this infamous wall of burning living energy. As I got nearer I switched to a clear scope to see the beast before me. A overwhelming hive tyrant lay absorbed before me, it was connected to the ship by hundreds of bio tubes each one pulsing with a some kind of liquid, the being was strung into the air its body curled as if in sacrifice. The carapace bent and twisted. This being I feared was never to be killed, an indestructible force whose power was greater than any others. It stirred as if it was commanding an army by a simple flinch. I peered in amazement, not realising the danger I was in. This force was not just connected to the ship but to every tyranid inside it. I pulled myself form its gaze and spiralled round. Ahead of me was a 100 strong tyranid swarm heading towards the tyrant, trailing behind was a few ravaged orks each one seemed to be drone, as if they had no power over its actions. I wondered whether they were not working for the tyranids at all, but the tyranids had enslaved them using their complex physic abilities. Any tyranid trying to fight a mind war or something similar would always lose they are not to strong in there abilities but the feeble and dumb minded orks I imagine would not be a hard case to over come. This discovery helped me to understand the reason for the orks being on the tyranid ship, but I had no more time to think about these things. I was slowly being swamped by a mass of tyranids each one trying to claw at me jumping 7or 8 feet high into the air. As I flew around the chamber I started to burn away the tubes connecting the tyrant with my fusion blaster. I needed not worry about the tyranids below me my jet pack was making a good enough flamer and there shrivelled and burnt corpses lay piling up. The tyrant its self seemed to be getting weaker, I found this strange for it seemed to be a creature of immense power. As I severed the last of its bio connecters, it seemed to stir new life and I found myself facing a very angry and tired hive tyrant something I did not plan on do. I swerved sharply to the left as one of its immense claws flew directly through my path. Its seemed to immediately overwhelm me and I found it hard to get any hits in. I was in trouble and it didn’t help that the fuel gauge on my jet pack was getting lower. I needed something to happen to distract the beast from me but what………….. Author: I am sorry that ttp3 is not quite as long as they usually are but I am in the process of moving house so am having no much time to do things. Hope you can wait a few weeks to find out what happens in ttp4 it should possibly be the last one we will see. Well this should quench your thirst for a few weeks anyway. Thanks all for reading, tim. |
