TAURAPILIS
PAPILLONS
I am raising South Russian Ovcharkas for many years.
When my children grew up a little bit, they wanted to have their "own" dog.
I began to look for a dog, small enough for them to handle. I have choosed a papillon because of its character and appearance. It took about 4 years to find a kennel and to get a puppy.
There were no papillons in Lithuania at this time.
My first papillon - female Xena Dutch Queen van Jo-Jo de la Haye (Ksena) - arrived to us in 1999 from Holland. We all are loving her very much. She still is healthy and happy "alpha" dog in our house. Currently we have 8 papillons, there are Ksena's granddoughters and great granddoughters among them.
Now there are about 100 papillons in Lithuania, and most of them are descendants of Ksena. The breed is increasing his popularity in Lithuania, and are arriving some interesting dogs from abroad.
