What the fuck is wrong with you?
Other than "How are you?" and "Have you eaten yet?" this is the question I am asked most. It is therefore only right that I answer it first, chances are it is the question you want answered. At first I thought I was mis-understood, but I am beginning to realize that I am disturbed and in denial about it.

What's your history?
Here it is, but I warn you it's boring

What do you do for a living?
I am a coder. I use Visual C++ to write software that runs under Microsoft Windows.

What is your favorite food?
Spaghetti sauce over steamed rice.

What is your favorite movie?
Pulp fiction, Samuel Jackson was great.

What are your favorite rock groups?
Metallica, even though they got me kicked off of Napster and Iron Maiden.

What are your favorite sports teams?
The Oakland Raiders and the San Jose Sharks.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
John Madden! You know ... the football guy.

What kind of car do you drive?
I have a '95 Toyota Camry, but I usually take public transit.
Trust me, the streets are safer this way.

How did you come up with the names for your kids?
In marriage there are compromises. Don't get me wrong, I love these names. But I did want a Mathew or Madden or "Mathew Madden".
Sebastien was named after the Crab or Lobster in the Little Princess.
Nicolas was named after my nieces favorite actor (Nicolas Cage).

What's with this, "E-mail me if you dare"?
That's right! I'm calling you a chicken!
No! Come on! It's meant to be funny. I tend to taunt, dare and tease people into doing things. It's just the way I am. It does get me into trouble ocasionally, and takes some people a while to get used to. If it bothers you, then Email Me. Unless your too chicken.
What kind of camera did you use to take those pictures?
People who ask this have realized that I'm not much of a photographer, the light is in the wrong place and ... I do have the models in Nicolas and Sebastien, and I have a decent camera in the Canon Powershot S20. It is a digital camera, there is no film, and you download the pictures to the computer. You will need to buy a good color printer if you want to print pictures. I have an HP P1100 which is about $450 and does a good job printing pictures.
Some advantages of this camera are:

It is easy to use, there are no lenses to attach. Perfect for me because I'm not much of a photographer.

You can use compact flash II memory cards or the IBM MicroDrives. I have a MicroDrive because it allows me to take about 400 pictures. I generally keep about three or four and throw the rest away.

It is capable of 3.3 Mega Pixel resolution. This is great if you want to print out your pictures. It does a great job on full page print-outs. It is capable of resolution up to 2048x1536.

The pictures come out really nice.

It's not a cheap camera, but it's not that expensive. Right now they are about $650.

It's small and easy to carry around.

Some dis-advantages of this camera are:

You can't attach lenses. And the standard lense that it comes with is not fantastic.
The standard settings are good, but could be better.

DP Review does a great job comparing cameras. They have pictures from several digital cameras and really go into the nitty about the specs. I was going to buy a different camera, but I had a friend of mine, who has a fantastic eye for art and user interfaces, check out the pictures at DP Review. She told me that I should not buy the other camera (casio) and to buy the Canon instead. She is planning to buy the Nikon Coolpix 990, because she wants to be able to put lenses on and she is good at these things.
Can you tell I'm proud of this camera, even though I couldn't have picked it out on my own.
