Looking to their future! At the reception, the first thing the wedding guest
saw was this lovely portrait
of Jurgen and Bernice, matted and framed and standing on an easel.
|

In this picture, Brigitta and Johann Heil are on the left of the bride and groom, and Davin,
Sandra, Grace, and Geoffrey on their right.
|
Jurgen and Bernice with members of the wedding party from the bride's family. The highlights of the
ceremony were Geoffrey's reading of Corinthians and the church cantor's rendition of "Ave Maria." |
Jurgen, Geoffrey (best man!) and the "second best man" whose name I have forgotten. The wedding ceremony
was held at St. Francis Catholic Church in Vista.
|

Geoffrey signs his wishes to the newly married couple on the portrait matte.
|
The reception was held at the "I" Bar at the Coronado Island Naval Station. It
turned out to be perfect - a Spanish-style thirties-era club with an enclosed patio and
a dance floor inside.
|
Grace was a little tired and grumpy at first, after the ceremony and the long slow drive
down the traffic-clogged five freeway, but she found friends to play with and was soon running
around outside and at 10:00 PM was still dancing with enthusiasm.
|

David and Chuck about to enjoy a dinner of carnitas, rice, and beans, and all the trimmings.
|
Grace got her dinner "to go" and nibbled on her tortilla as she got acquainted with the bride's family. |

Grace liked this game with Jamie- she would get dizzy, stagger back, and ask for more!
|

One of Bernice's nephews found it was fun to hide in the bushes and roar like a lion to startle the girls.
|

Geoff, John, and David started a series of outdoor group photos where we added one person for
each shot.
|

And here is the whole group from our table, photographed by another wedding guest. Sandra's parents, Davin,
and Geoff were at the head table with the wedding party.
|

Gail, Chuck, and the "three boys"!
|
The dancing started with the bride and groom, naturally, followed by a money dance, where
Jurgen and Bernice each held a basket on their arm and people dropped money in the basket for a dance.
I danced with Jurgen and Chuck with Bernice, but people cut in rapidly for their turn. |

And Harry had his dance with Bernice! Later in the evening practically everybody was dancing. It was a
wonderful party!
