Mollie was born on June 9, 1999, in Kansas. She's a Cairn Terrier like Toto from "The Wizard Of Oz" except she's blonde. She was actually brown when we got her at 8 weeks. She looked like a little brown bear cub, all puffy with fur. Her ears were already standing up. She acted more like a cat than a dog. She "rock climbed" up all the furniture and insisted on perching up top. She also had to sit up on top of our shoulders. She was a pretty quiet puppy. She started sleeping with us almost immediately. Her potty training went pretty well. I couldn't get her to go to the door on her own though. I would take her outside and all I had to do was say, "go potty" and she would go on command. Easily trained breed. But I couldnt' get her to go to the door and let me know! Until we babysat my brother's Schnauzers and Mollie looked up to the older, bigger one named Keisha. So everywhere Keisha went, Mollie had to go. So Mollie learned in a week being with Keisha that if you go to the door you get to go outside. Pretty sad that I couldn't train her to do that but another dog could! She does some tricks now too. She sits pretty, rolls over, and shakes hands. |
