The team and his equipment

Group D is the official designation for LAPD's SWAT. Based outside the downtown of Los Angeles, the Group D is composed of 60 officers, six sergeant and one lieutenant.

The lieutenant take on to be the captain of SWAT. He is the person in charge of all activities of the unity. He takes advantage of six segeant, who have each a squad of ten officers on their jurisdiction. A squad is composed by two groups of five men : a leader and four assailants.

In a normal entry team, we find a minimum of five members :
- a scout
- a back guard
- a leader
- two assailants (or more)

Some others policement can be added, particularly :
- one or more chemical team
- one or more snipers team

The job of the scout is, of course, to securise visualy a room before the rest of the team make his entry. Being armed of only a colt .45, the scout needes more protection. That's the reason to be of the back guard. This one has like arms a Benelli M1 Super 90, probably the more powerfull weapon of the team. The next is the leader. It's him that command the tactical deployement of the entry team. He has to have a perfect understanding of the position of all his officer, to take quick and relevant dicision, even under pressure. This leader is armed, like all the others assailants, of a MP-5. The assailants are the active officer of a SWAT team.

In addition, it's almost like a real computer that help the officer in his mission by giving to him precious information on the air, his inventory, his mission and even on hit vital fonctions.
	©- Tactical Holster : It's anadgustable hangar system featuring a rotating hood and holster tensioning device, a durable laminate finish and suede lining.
	©- Impact lightsticks : Used bu D Platoon to light otherwise dark aeras, and as a marker that room as benn "cleared" of threat.
	©- Tool kit : Principaly used to open locked door. Weighing just under seven ounces.
	©- Miror : For use in stealth searches.
	©- Handcuffs : National Institue of Justice approved, the combined steel and lightweight heat treadted aluminum alloy cuffs weigh a mere 4.66 ounces.
