The Thomas B Mack Florida Citrus Archives The Auker-Meyer-Crowder Story |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
These are our labels from the Auker-Meyer-Crowder Packing House in the Lakeland-Highland City area of central Florida. The business was owned by Elden Auker, famous 1930s submarine ball pitcher with the Detroit Tigers, Arthur Meyer, a fruit buyer, and Alvin Crowder, a baseball teammate of Auker's. The tiger on the Tiger brand label is identical to the Tiger logo which was on the front of the packing house. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
