This is a secondary entrance into the base located on the eastern side. Like the rest of the dimension of darkness, changes in terrain are not visible because of a distorted perception in light; so reaching this point can be difficult, let alone any perils waiting inside. |
| Along certain points in this stage, Crystal warriors will appear overhead and commence sniping down on any intruders. They are somewhat difficult to overcome, due to the few areas where they can be attacked from. |

At the end of stage one is where the main interior of M3 Base can be reached. However, bosses have been sent here to guard the door, which are two crystal masters (created by a fusion of several crystal warriors and are many times more powerful). Defeating them both would allow access to the next stage. |
