We don't believe in hazing. Tau Beta Sigma has a very strict policy on hazing. If there is anything a prospective member or active member does not feel comfortable doing, we don't do it.
TBS is a DRY ORGANIZATION. This means that drinking or controlled substances are NOT ALLOWED OR PERMITTED TBS events. We expect our prospective and active members to abstain from the use or influence of drugs & alcohol at ALL TBS related events.
Anyone can join TBS. TBS does not discriminate against race, gender, religion, or sexual preference. If you aren't a music major, you can still join TBS. All you need is a love of music and a desire to promote the bands at ISU through service and leadership!
Yes. Everyone pays dues to be in TBS. The dues our chapter pays goes towards: National and district operations, membership resources, t-shirts, socials, and chapter operations. Our chapter dues do not exceed $200 for the entire year.
That's perfectly okay! We understand that you are a struggling college student (we are too!) Our treasurer will be MORE than willing to work out a payment plan that works for you.
YES!!!! TBS gives it's members several opportunities to build their leadership and musicianship through National and District Conventions and workshops through District BLOCKS.
