Global Effect
By Terri:

Have you wondered what our government would do if terrorists had a biological weapon or if the terrorists actually used it how we would respond? Well, according to this movie we would simply nuke the area from the face of the Earth, even if that means taking an entire continent and its population with it! That speaks volumes about how other people in the world few us as a Nation, don't you think?  Granted, we've used nukes before and the threat is always there, however, the makers of this film made it look like launching such a weapon would be easy (in case anyone is wondering, only the President has the authority to launch nukes and the diplomacy that would be involved is mind boggling). Can you imagine what would happen throughout the world if the U.S. launched a nuke on another nation without consulting the U.N. or even the leader of that nation? Every other nation that has the same capabilities, especially the ones who are not our allies, would launch on us and all hell would break loose. This film gave no voice to any of those thoughts and, according to them, all it would take is one bitchy politician and a couple of generals in some unknown location to make these decisions! They also made it look pretty easy for someone to get their hands on the biological agent in the first place. Hey, all you have to do is find a lab that has the agent, shoot a couple of security guards, walk right in and take it. No problem.

All believability aside, this was a better than average Daniel Bernhardt film. The quality of the film was better than usual and I didn't see hide nor hair of misdubbed voices (ala Special Forces). Don't expect to see Daniel in all of his martial arts glory though, this is strictly an action film that keeps our hero running around South Africa trying rescue the only scientist that can stop a deadly virus from spreading and once that's accomplished, try to stop the carrier of the virus, kill the bad guy and get the antidote before the U.S can blow everyone up. No problem...if you're Daniel Bernhardt!
