Alpha Xi Delta's Philanthropy Mission:

Alpha Xi Delta believes in the dignity of the individual child.  Children deserve opportunities to develop to their fullest potential-- intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically-- in an environment conducive to the development of character, personal responsibility, good citizenship, and a sense of well being.  Individually and collectively, Alpha Xi Delta members and chapters support organizations that nuture the child.
Ways our chapter has helped to CHOOSE CHILDREN:

*  Several sisters give up their meals in the Oxfam program each year, which takes the money used for breakfast, lunch and dinner on one day and donates it to feed hungry people around the world.

* We sponsored a Toy Drive on campus and donated the toys to area daycares and preschools.

*  We participated in a sorority-wide food drive to help stock the Good Shepard Center for the holiday season.

*  We have adopted a child in the Phillipines and raised money to send him a Christmas present, as well as other children in his village.

*  We made Halloween cards to bring to children at a local Children's Hospital.

*  We sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt on our campus for all the children in Greenville and the surrounding areas to attend.

*  We volunteer at the local rec center and do different activities with the kids.

In light of recent events in New York City, Washington D.C. and nearby Somerset, we will be joining in with the rest of the Greek
Community here at Thiel College in raising funds to help those in
need because of this senseless tragedy.
