Yikes. We didn't realize how infrequently our train ran on Sundays, so we count ourselves as very lucky that we made our British Airways flight from Paris to London! We arrived at CDG airport while our plane was already boarding. There wasn't even time for a last Pain au Chocolat before jumping on the plane. When we arrived in London, we were so excited how close our hotel was to the Westminster tube station, and the Marriott looked great from the outside. We didn't actually get our room til after dinner as the hotel was full, so in the meantime we had tea kindly given by the hotel, used our London Eye tickets, ate dinner at the Hard Rock, and walked around Piccadilly, Regent, & Oxford Streets. We saw a theater pre-showing Harry Potter, but we found they only had single seats left (can you imagine reserved seats at the movie theater!?). As it turned our room was well worth the wait- it sounds silly but for Tia it was the highlight of the trip because of the great view of London Eye. |
