Our Goals (Strategies)
"The goal of the Tahoe/Colonial Collaborative (TCC) is to make our neighborhood a healthy and safe place to live where children can ride their bikes and play without worry of harm.  It is our hope to provide services and activities that bring adults and children together to create a small-town atmosphere where people greet each other by name and aren't afraid to walk down the street after dark.  It's not about being in the right neighborhood; it's about making the neighborhood right."
1.   Children will be emotionally, mentally, physically
      and socially healthy.
2.   Children will be safe.
3.   Parents and community members will be aware of
and involved in children's health, education and
      recreation activities and issues.

Come Join the HAVEs!
Recently members of the Tahoe/Colonial community embarked on a new journey - and the formation of a new group in the area, the HAVEs!  This group, made up not only of TCC staff and board members but additional parents, youth, caretakers and other interested neighbors as well, is working to create strong networks that will support the healthy development of families and their 0-5 children.  The HAVEs are currently in the planning phases of their monthly community event - the "Let's HAVE Dinner" series, where families can come together for a delicious, free meal, and learn all about the people and resources available in our community.

For more information on the HAVEs, please contact TCC at 916.732.2055 or email thehaves@yahoo.com.
