COLLEGE BOWL TOURNAMENT

THE NORTHWEST CAMPUS TOURNAMENT IS OCTOBER 29-NOVEMBER 2 FROM 1-4 IN THE WACB BUILDING!

TOURNAMENT BEGINS AT 1:00 IN THE MICHAEL SAENZ CONFERENCE ROOM ON OCTOBER 29.

THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTERING IS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, BY MIDNIGHT.

Games are played in teams of four with an alternate option.  We will be playing in the afternoons from 1-4.  Winning team members not only receive a $200 scholarship for their team but they also will get a chance to represent the Northwest Campus at the Regional Tournament in Denton at UNT in February 2007. Past tournaments have been held in San Antonio, San Marcos, and Houston. Previous team members have scored among the top ten individual scorers against undergraduate and graduate students from schools such as Rice University, Louisiana State University, Texas Tech, and the University of Arkansas. Our campus is the only two-year school to have participated in the Region 12 tournament in four of the last seven years. We have done well each year with a team made up of only freshmen and sophomores, including winning the Sportsmanship Award in 2005.

Additionally, if you attend the regional tournament, you will receive a $200 scholarship for the regional team. Furthermore, if the regional team places in the top five at the tournament, they will get an additional $200 scholarship for the team. Besides, the quick trip is a fun and enlightening experience.
