Here are a few from our Trip in Dec of 2001. We did not go up the tower this day, so there not any from the top. I have some more posted in another gallery from a previous trip.
This is the beautiful Hunting Island lighthouse, just outside of Beaufort SC. It is available for climbing for the modest fee of .50 cents. The view from the top is worth the trip. You can see miles of coastline, trees and marsh. There are several support buildings that have many photos displayed and quite a bit of information about lighthouses. Nearby you will also find a little giftshop with the usual coffee mugs, postcards and books. | ||||
