Nicole's water broke at 5pm on Friday just as Tony was finishing up work.  We packed the car and headed to Baptist Beaches which is only a couple of miles away.  Nicole was fully dialated around 10pm and gave birth to Kyle at 2:19am.  The Neo-Natologist  checked him out and he received an 8/9 on his Apgar test (he's smart like his mom!).
We were very thankful to deliver Kyle at Baptist Beaches.  The staff is wonderful and the entire experience took place in one room.  Kyle stayed with us almost the entire time (except for baths and check-ups).  We were also very thankful to have Dr. Christian perform the delivery, he is wonderful (and looks like Santa Clause!).
Aunt Camille and Grandpa Bob both stayed throughout the entire labor and delivery either in our room or out in the waiting room.  Even "Uncle" Jim showed up around midnight and stayed in the waiting room until 2am, just missing Kyle's birth by 19 minutes!  I think Grandpa Bob coined it best, "it was a magical evening!"
Kyle got all sorts of wonderful visits from both family and friends.  "Aunt" Layla brought us bagels, creamcheese, and coffee on Saturday (as well as running a ton of errands for us...Thank you!).  Saturday night, "Aunt" Laurie stopped by with Kyle's first McDonalds Happy Meal, which Tony scarfed down!  On Sunday, "Uncle" Jim brought us donuts and coffee, enough donuts to share with the nurses!   Tony suprised Nicole on Sunday night with a special dinner from Uli's (our favorite restaurant) including a fine bottle of wine provided by Christina.  It was absolutely delicious!!!
Kyle also received visits from Grandma Avis, Chuck & Laura (with their daughter Amy), Jim's mom Ann, Uncle Rick, Nolan, and Allison.  Kyle's big sister, Rachelle, and Tony's parents, Grandpa Marty & Grandma Linda were all there in spirit and will be visiting us soon.
We were soon able to take our bundle of joy home on Monday where Kyle got to meet Caz and Oreo (well, mostly Caz since Oreo hides most of the time).  Greta came home on Wednesday and got to meet (sniff) Kyle then.  Everyone seems to be happy and adjusting nicely!
