How To Write A Bibliography
A bibliography lists all of the sources you use to obtain information for a specific topic.

A bibliography is organized in alphabetical order according to the author's last name.

Examples of how to properly cite your sources is shown below.  Pay attention to spacing, indents, and punctuation for each entry!!!!

(notice title is not underlined or bolded!)

Book: (do not include headings) (notice the title of the book is italicized!!)
Author's last name, Author's first name. 
Title of Book. City of Publication:
      Publisher, Year.

e.g.  Smith, Jane.
How To Write A Bibliography. Toronto: Penguin Inc., 2008.

Magazine: (notice the indent of the second line!!) (notice the title of the magazine is italicized!!!)
Author's last name, Author's first name.  "Title of article".
Name of Magazine,
      Month Year of issue, page numbers.

e.g. Hannes, Robert. "Get Fit!".
Men's Health, April 2007, 34 - 36.

Newspaper:
Name of newspaper, Dates of issues you consulted Day Month, Year.

e.g.
The Niagara Falls Review, 22 April, 2008.

Website: (pay attention to Capitals, punctuation, quotation marks, and brackets, they are all there for a purpose!!!)
Author of site last name, Author's first name. "Title of Web Page." Date of
      publication (if not known use n.d.) <http://website address> (Date retrieved 
      Month, Day, Year).

e.g. Jarr, Kirk. "How to Write A Bibliography." April 2, 2008
            <http://www.writingstyle.com> (April 23, 2008).

If no date of the website is available follow this format:
e.g. Jarr, Kirk. "How to Write A Bibliography." (n.d.)
           <http://www.writingstyle.com> (April 23, 2008).

If no author of the site is available use the organization in place of the author:
e.g. The Government of Canada. "How to Write A Bibliography." April 2, 2008
           <http://www.writingstyle.com> (April 23, 2008).
