January 21, 2001 - The due date is here.  No sign that Baby Teachey wants to come visit yet.  Stacey and I are waiting... and waiting... and waiting... Check back for more details.

October 16, 2001 - Not much to report.  After going to a couple of UNC football games, I've come up with more names -- that Stacey doesn't seem to like.  Kitwana?  Oh, and UVa had a player named Muffin.  Hope it was a nickname.

September 3, 2001 - Things still going fine.  I never realized that watching college football could yield such a bounty of good names for little boys.  Who likes the name "Dahraan?"  Anyone?  Anyone?

And yesterday, we got the extreme pleasure of registering for baby stuff at one of those superstores for little people.  For those without kids, be forewarned.  Babies apparently require a lot of stuff.  Who knew? And if somebody could explain the "Baby Wipe Warmer" to me, I'm all ears.  Are cold baby wipes that dangerous?

After two hours of sheer bliss, we made it through that ordeal with our marriage intact.  That's about all we could ask for.

August 28, 2001 - It's a boy!   See the photo to the right to see him at 20 weeks.  This picture shows one of the few times when he didn't have his thumb shoved in his mouth.  From the profile, I think he looks like me... if I were bald, fairly transparent and viewed in grainy black-and-white film.

Everything looks fine.  Heart rate was 142, about what mine is after I walk a flight of stairs.  They measured his noggin and it looks like he's right on target for Jan. 21.

Aug. 20, 2001 - About a week before finding out the gender. Everyone is giving their "two cents."  Some are 75% sure it's a boy, others 90% sure it's a girl.  Stacey and I are intensely curious, but since we're 100% sure it's just one of them in there, everything else is gravy.
