Harry Carey Special
"Swingers WIN, Swinger WIN, Swingers WIN...." Harry Carey.  Yes folks, it's true, the Swingers have finally managed to win a ball game in the Lower C Division at the Dugout.  The Swingers pulled out an 18-16 victory.  "The bats have finally started to come back alive.  This is not the same team that has been playing the last few weeks. I think it had something to do with the Miller Lite," Tony "T-bag" Neumann.  Neumann had a decent night at the plate, only getting out once.  "Miller Lite and Tony go together like Spinach and Popeye.  It's amazing.  He actually gains strength and ability the more he drinks," MVP legend Coach Gater.  The legend also had some amazing plays in the field as well as another great night at the plate.  He has extended his hitting streak to an amazing 1,628 games.  "It's a priviledge to even be able to play with a living legend like Craig Gater.  I only hope I can have a career like he has had," DJ.  There was also some gutsy base running by Dakota "no not Kansas" Einfeldt.  Dakota made great slides into home plate narrowly avoiding tags numerous times during the game.  "I knew that their outfielders' arms were no match for my blazing speed.  Plus the Miller Lite made me feel like I was running faster."  Duane "Tidal Wave" Boeh also had a first for the game.  Boeh smashed the first hit of the year with his new trademark bat.  He is also trying to acquire a wooden bat for the rest of the season.  "Hey, I'm strictly old school.  There is no better feeling then feeling the ball smack off good wood."  Also in attendance was the little leaguer BK, who was discussing the use of a wooden bat with Duane, "There's no better feeling than wrapping your hands around a smooth piece of wood."  The rookie right fielder Nick Sim put fear into the hearts of the other team with a record 18 straight balls.  "I think they are just scared to pitch to him.  His rippling biceps, huge chest, and that ass, I mean powerful legs.  He is quite breathtaking, I mean intimidating," third baseman and roomate Brad Buss.  The fan section is also starting to grow with the addition of Kari Cutler.  Superfan Dave Buss was also in attendance, making it a record 16 games in a row of cheering and fondling hot women at the dugout.  Hopefully even more will be there for next weeks games.  This is Chauncy, signing off.
