A LESSON TO BE LEARN 08/01/05

Polisi Pramong Praja. Remember that name. This was the best team we face so far and by looking at the result, it really did not surprised us.If we are to give them a good fight, make sure we have our full strength. In our first oversea match, we were caught unprepared.PPP engaged a different kind of football which we were unable to cope with.

Before the game started, both teams exchange tokens for the friendly match.Took photograph together for memory and shook each other hands.

The game started with Forza controlling the tempo of the game.Forza passed the ball around. With the uneven pitch of stadium Abdullah, it was difficult to control it. forza had to engaged the long ball tactics in hoping Een and Farhan to do some magic upfront.Unfortunately for Forza, both Een and Farhan seemed light weigth and their first touch were really bad.PPP did not have any problems with dispossing of ball from Een and Farhan.Once they dispossessed from them, they started to create attacking plays of their own. With their hard running midfielders penetrating through our defence, the defence were stretched to the limits.Fortunately for us, they were only to score one goal during the first half. That was through the penalty which were given when Rajai mishandled the ball in the six yard box.

In the second half, we managed to level the score through Een (Yes i know it's Een im talking about here) who scored his first goal of the season. This goal was the wake up call for PPP.They started to bombarded us with long ball for their strikers to chase. With our unfit defenders, we were not able to defend the attacks. If not for the in- form Mazlan, we could be down by more goals.PPP scored three more goals to take a comfortable lead before the wasit (ref in Indonesian) blew the final whistle. Final score Polisi Pramong Praja 4 - 1 Forza.
