EYES OPENER 19 SEPT 05

The weather was great but the field conditions was far from satisfactory as few patches of bumpiness can be seen around the field. But who care as we were already there to play some football. the match started with both teams passing the ball around in their own half. forza started the attacking moves first with attacks from the centre. But with few distribution to both flanks, our attacks were looked harmless. Only few shots on target were seen during the first half. Alimran playing at the left flank were 'locked up' by the plum defender. It does affect your speed and stamina when you are not playing football for few weeks. The combination of Azmey and Vincent did not click together.the only threat came from Sapari who constantly got behind the defenders. He even hit the post and forced the keeper to make some wonderful saves. With Forza constantly playing at the opponents half, the Old Boys launched the counter attack from the left flank to score the first goal. The second goal was the same but this time it came from the right flank.

The second half started with waves of attacks from Forza. With Een replacing the ineffective Vincent, our attacks look more promising as een gave the defenders some hard times with his physical present. The goal Forza needed did come through by Alimran but it was ruled offside. Forza closed the gap through Azmey taken freekick. With Forza camping at the Old boys half, another rare counter attack launched by the Old boys put the killer blow on Forza as the final goal was scored.Final score 1-3 to Forza
