CardTech: Charismatic Style

Charismatic Style
Action: Face
Put any non-unique Action or non-unqiue Maneveur card from your Ringside pile into your hand. If that is not the next card you play, then end your turn.
If played by Kurt Angle, he is not restricted to selecting a non-unique card.

Well then, hello once again and welcome to another KYR CardTech. This time, we look at an Action card from the Backlash set just before the release of Mania. We look at a common 0F Face action, which is called Charismatic Style.

What in the blue hell is it? Well, simply put it, it is a Ringside pile retrieval card. It allows you to put any Maneveur or Action that is in your Ringside pile into your end, provided it is non-unique (that does not apply to Kurt Angle). HOWEVER, there is a catch here, you have to play it on your turn, or you must end it after taking the card.

Now, how does this card fit into decks? First off you have to be Face. Yes, I understand that the current Backlash enviroment is chog full of nasty Heel players, but a proper Face deck might make the mark in the correct conditions. Back to the topic, Face decks! Of course, this card maybe combo-ed off in the start with the other Face prematch event, Givin' Em High Fives. Try to fill up your Ringside, this give rise to more key cards you want to fish back. Together with High Fives, you can put back two (key/vital) cards to your hand. Just by putting Just Bring It back limits them to playing 1 action per turn in the start.

Next, its it cost. It's a mere 0F card which you can pull off on first turn. By combining with cards such as Student of the Sport, you first get to see the vital information in your opponent's hand, then go get a maneveur that is guranteed sucessfull. This gives you sure fortitude. Charismatic Style alone is very powerful, however comined with other cards you can pull off combos easier than you thought.

Want to play a Throw into corner turnbuckle deck? But you are always short of key card(s) such as Throw or a maneveur? No problem. All you need is one in your hand then use CS to fish for the other. If you have Superplex, go "Styling" for a Throw that may have ended up in your Ringside pile. Then Throw him (note: you must throw immediately or you have to end your turn!) and Superplex him for the Super 15 which is so seldom I can say it's almost never reversed. (Go ahead! Oversell! You still suck!)

Well, then Charismatic Style requires a lot of thinking before hand. Don't go ahead and use it before thinking. You may find yourself ending your turn before you even want it. So, be extremely careful, if you want to plunge your opponent F, make sure you do it correctly in a proper timing.

Overall, a very strong card used in the right deck and in the right frame of mind. x=
