#1 SUMMERTIME AND THE LIVING IS EASY.

Walking together, hand in hand
along the beach, toes touch sand
The waters edge, ebbs and flows
past our ankles, then back to toes.

Clean white sand, glistening in hot sun
seashells, we collect them, one by one
Toss a ball for the dog to swim
brings it back, riding a new wave in.

Riding the wind the surfers race
mastering the waves, with a clean cut pace
And body surfers, laze on boards or towels
listening to radios, all on different stations!

#2.        CONTENTMENT IN SLEEP.

I could curl up in a corner
Like a puppy and
Sleep a deep sleep.

No cares, no pain,
No needs, nor reasons,
No one to answer to
No need to earn my keep.

The world can go away,
While in slumber
No rewards must I reap.

No milk, no honey
No need for money
Kitty curls at my ankles
While in dreams deep.

Pop some pills for all this
Pleasure, WHY?
It's all in my head,
As I reap a peaceful deep sleep.
