SIMPLICITY WILL DO.
The view of a golden
sunset over the ocean
steals away my breathing.
The smell of summer’s
first rain
brings a tingle
to my nasal cavity.
The scent of a freshly
hung wash
launders my suffocating
topmost self.
The tasty nectar
of a ripened apricot
quenches my dull
organ of taste.
The soft contented
rumble of my cat
is music on a soundless
night.
A post to rub my
back against
is like my love
affair with life.
A cool ocean breeze
on my face
is like an air conditioner
to the moneyed.
