DEMONS IN THE NIGHT

In the dark she stands alone,
Demons on the wind.
In the dark she cries alone,
For she has no friends.

Roses, roses, black as blood,
In her shaky hands.
Silent tears, like a flood,
Fall into the sands.

Demon, demon, at the door,
Black blood roses on the floor.
Demons, demons, in the night,
Her blood is in their veins.

At the window, a tapping,
Begging to be let in.
Full moon rising demons stir,
Flying on the wind.

With moon comes new shape,
Fang and fur.
Demons fly away.

With rose in hand,
Girl takes flight,
Freely out into the night.
Ne?er again to be bothered,
By the demons in the night.

YOUR TEARS

Your tears, they fall down like rain,
Every one you shed causes me pain.
You think I do not notice,
The tears in your eyes,
Just because I look away whenever you cry.

I notice every single time that you weep,
Especially when you bind your thoughts so deep,
I want to help you,
You know this is true,
I know you see me when I stare at you.

If it is comfort that you seek,
I?ll be there for you always,
Every day, every week.
If you need help,
You can turn to me.
I won?t go away,
That I can guarantee.

UNTITLED

When goddess moon hangs full and bright,
Gently smiling from the west.
When stars cluster round about,
Twinkling brightly from the east,
By the light of the moon I?ll come,
On dark ravens? wings I?ll fly.
By the light of the stars I?ll come,
In the darkness by and by.

Away we?ll sweep through the night,
On wings of raven, we?ll take flight.
Ever ignoring the dooming plight,
Opening eyes to wondrous sight,

In the end, when you whither and die,
I will remember from where you came.
In the sweet by and by,
I will carry on your name.

FOR THOSE WHO CARE

Big brown eyes.
Sad and lonely,
Full of pain.

You think no one notices
When you cry,
But they do.

You laugh and chatter
To hide the pain
You feel inside.
But it shows,
For those who care to notice.

Angry red scratches
Cover your arms.
Hidden by long sleeves,
And tired excuses
Made to dull the pain,
You feel inside.

You tell no one
All the pain you feel.
You try to hide it,
But it shows,
In your eyes,
On your arms,
For those who care to notice.

TO HIDE THE PAIN

Blue eyed girl,
Sad and lonely.
She hurts herself
To hide the pain.

Every hurt hides the pain,
That mars her soul,
That shows on her face,
And marks her as troubled.

She deals with her pain
In the sweet silence.
Troubling no one
With her problems.

She is different.
Has been and will be,
And so she stands alone
To face her troubles in the darkness.

No one hears her when she cries
Because she is scared,
Of the dizziness and pain
She feels inside her head.

No one hears her as she gasps.
Shocked at the bruises
That mar her body
Made by her own hands.

No one hears her
As she cries in the dark
Waiting for help,
That is slow in coming.

YOU ARE FREE

Fireflies.
Shining bright
Like captive stars,
You are free.

You are free,
Not locked in a cage,
Hounded by demons,
Prodded with iron.

Birds.
Beautiful and flighty,
Winging through the sky.
You are free.

You are free,
Not trapped on the ground
Being sucked under water
By rocks tied to your feet.

Deer.
Swift and graceful,
Running like the wind.
You are free.

You are free,
Not screaming helplessly,
In a crowded room,
Where no one hears you.

Wild animals.
Swift and strong,
Striving to live,
You are free.

You are free
Until you rest.
We are caged,
Sucked under
Prodded.
Until we rest,
And even at rest,
We are not free.

DREAMS

Dreams are glass houses,
Broken so easily.
A sharp blow, a shrill word,
And they are gone.
Shattered into a million glittering pieces,
To lie broken on the floor.
They are crunched underfoot,
By the shoes of unwary people,
Or the boots of those who live to destruct

UNTITLED

Through the shadows of my heart,
    I step softly.
Through the darkness of my mind,
    I step swiftly.
Through the grave of my soul,
    I step silently.
For I do not know what lies there,
Or if I should fear it.

These are a few poems by me.
