I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Border Collies, that I have had the pleasure of knowing and loving in the past and present. These dogs taught me many things about life and unconditional love. They made life a game, and there was never a game they didn't play without total commitment and enthusiam.

OB. CH. DEGEAR'S FINAL EDITION (TIP) July 16, 1978 - June 1990. ; Imported by Jean Haines in the fall of 1978.; By Fred Herman's OB. CH. Moss of Thornymoor out of Faith Still's Flash 097050. He was a combination of some of the greatest BC obedience line of the time, on his father side and old fashion working dogs through his mother. Tip was my introduction to Border Collies and responsible for my ongoing love affair with the breed. He was the foundation of the Can - Do Border Collies and lives on in many of the present day dogs in our area of the country. He was one of the first BC to obtain an Obedience Championship Title in Canada. Sire of many winning obedience Border Collies in Canada. He was also one of the cleverest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. A strong, agile, smooth coated black and white dog. Tip was was part of the original Superdogs, trained in Agility and Flyball before they were competitive events in Canada. He was very strong on sheep and a number of his offspring went to homes where they made their living working cattle.

Watts' Grace Star, she was a ball of fire and constantly in motion. Widget was a sweet dog that never believed you could possible annoyed with her. She was a very pretty dog and clever dog that would find ways, to get her own way. She was fast and agile a trait she passed on to many of her offspring, she was one of the foundation bitches of the Can - Do Border Collies. BLUEALLOY HIGH HOPE (TEAZEL) CDX, HIC, TT, FDMX Oct. 13 1988 - May 2001 I imported her 1988, by Whitethorne Rip out of Barbara Swann's Bluealloy Neat 'N Trim. Teazel arrived from England when she was 53 days old. She charged out of the crate and ran through the airport, greeting everyone in sight, this was how she approached everything in her life. Teazel was a great deal of fun to train, always eager and willing to please. Friendly to fault, she made many friends in all areas and of all ages and sizes. She ran on our first Flyball Team in 1990 and continued to do Flyball until she was 11 ½ yrs old, having raced with every dog that was ever on a CAT team. It never mattered who was handling her she always ran her heart out. Teazel has done Agility demonstrations, since she was a year old but only competed in one official Agility Tournament when she was 10 yrs. old. Teazel is the only dog I ever owned that actually liked to be the demo dog in Obedience classes. Teazel only had one littler of puppies but with that litter she has left an impression on all our teams in one way or another. I will never be able to Thank Barbara Swann enough for choosing this puppy for me, she was a once in a life time dog.

CARISTAN FLORA (FLORA) CDX, FDCH Sept 1,1987 - June 22, 2000, Imported Feb 1989, by Melodor the Scotsman of Caristan out of Caroline Ward's Mobella Promise. Flora was bought as an adult from Edna Wilkinson and came to Canada in whelp to Barbara Swann's Tarn of Bluealloy. Flora was a little black whirl wind with boundless energy and enthusiasm, sometimes to much. As soon as she thought she knew what you wanted, she was off and running whether she was right or not. There was nothing Flora preferred over playing ball, if no one was willing to throw a ball for her, she would throw it herself. She had softer gentler side when around puppies, small children and seniors, never jumping up displaying endlessly patient and tolerance.
WADHAM TERO (PERO) CDX, HIC, TT, FDCH May 5, 1984 - June 22, 2000 I imported Pero from England as an adult dog, to add to our breeding program, By Wadham Chas out of Mr. B. W. Wilson's Sadie of Wadham. He was 4 1/2 years old and had an interesting pedigree that combined some great herding dogs, obedience and show lines. Pero turned out to be a really neat dog with loads of personality and lots of get up and go. He was always willing to try anything. His athletic abilty was truly impressive, very light on his feet he could easily clear a 48 inch jump. Pero had ; not been trained when we bought him as he belonged to one of those dreaded show families. :)) I will always be grateful to Marion Turner for allowing us to bring Pero to Canada. His formal training started at the age of five years old. During the next several years he learned Obedience and earned a CD and CDX. He passed the Temperament Test and earned a Herding Instinct Test. Learned to do Flyball and Agility. Flyball was in its infancy and the points earned at a tournament were not what they are today; however he still managed to run a consistent 5.5 seconds up until he retired at 10 yrs old. His contribution to our breeding program is evident in the number of his offspring in our present breeding program and their offspring running in flyball today.
