Enhancements

A persons natural abilities can get them far in life, however some people always wish to go a little further.  Enhancements, be them magical, technological or a mix of the two can be powerful tools to those who have the cash.

Types of Enhancements

Enhancements fall into three different categories, physical, mental and magical.  All work in different ways and some even work when combined to form another level of power all together.

Physical: A physical Enhancement is something that boosts a persons natural strength, dexterity or stamina, these enhancements are the most common and often times are used to amplify an already existing natural ability or to correct an ability which was lost such as seeing, hearing, smelling and so on.

Mental: A Mental Enhancement is an Enhancement that alters or amplifies a persons, intelligence, cunning or perception of the world around them.  Like the physical Enhancements these are fairly common though are at times the more expensive enhancements.

Magical: Magical Enhancements are often times hard to get and even harder to use unless the person already has the know how to use elemental magic.  These like the others amplify a person’s ability, in this case the ability to use magic and though a person who is not trained can use them it’s tough and often times not worth the money.

How to get Enhancements

Enhancements not only cost money but they also cost experience and while that may seem a little harsh the amplifications are well worth the price.  The one static fact of Enhancements is that they cost only 5 experience points the price in terms of money of course can range very widely.  The last price of an enhancement is the prerequisites in order to get the enhancement some have them and other, do not.  Below is an Enhancement example.

A Physical Enhancement with prerequisites is of course the Nimble Enhancement, which lowers all difficulties to perform acts of agility and balance by 1.  In order to get this Enhancement the character must first pay the five experience and a little of his or her hard earned money.  The character must then have 2 in agility and 2 in acrobatics before they can get Nimble.
