The race known as the Visulan are a relatively new addition, and an odd one, to the Galactic Council. As of a few decades ago, this rather tribal race of humanoids was all but unknown, and rather misses those times.
Visulan technology is all but nonexistent, being a rather primitive and tribal race with very few tools more complex than that of a simple shovel, hoe, or perhaps a plow. The reason: an immense connection to the Way (Magic as they know it). The Visulan have, since the races' progenitors first rose from within this heavily forested world, learned how to finely manipulate the forces that exist through sheer force of will.
While races were at war amongst the stars, the Visulan were calmly cultivating their forests and farms. While the Arleon build massive armies and the Xeluios Goraganthor raged, the Visulan strove to attain a semblance of peace and a symbiotic relationship with their home world, also named for the race.
Now, at the core of the developing galactic economy, the Visulan have developed a niche as powerful magi and manipulators, and are often thought of as councilors of the Arcane. Acceptance into any Visulan Enclave is considered a great and prestigious merit in the favor of a young off-world magi, for within the walls of these massive, living colleges are some of the Visulans' best and brightest teachers of their "Way".
However, with change must come adoption and evolution, even to the Visulan. And now the race is forced to use their resplendent talents not only for the good of their tribes, but also in protection of their race. With massive armies, machines of death and destruction, and besieging foes waiting on the galactic wing, the race now boasts an impressive army of its own... of course boasting the most recognized unit of military casters ever conceived, the Emerald Flames.
With this backing him the Cheif-of-Cheifs has become a regular ambassador to the Galactic Council, and is given the full authority of all of the tribes of the Visulan.
Physical Appearance:
The Visulan are a slight and dexterous race, with Males usually stand at roughly 5' 5" with a little variation and the Females ranging from 4' 6" to 5ft. The average Male will weigh as much as 140 lbs. while females can weigh as little as 85 lbs.
Visulan skin tones range through various earthen and natural hues, from the simplistic bark colorations to a very deep and somber green. Their hair may be any color that could be found in nature: blue, green, yellow, etc.
The Planet Visulan:
The planet is roughly half the size of earth and has a rather high ratio of earth over oceanic waters. However, this does not prevent the rather booming ecosystem from providing plentiful rains, enormous rivers and lakes, as well as two polar caps.
Many precious minerals (ores and such) are mined from Visuland, as well as several major exports of exotic animals and plants.

The Visulan character Size is Medium. Characters have 2 extra points to burn in Mental. The Visulan character may attempt to make a perception roll at -2 difficulty to realize another’s affinity.
