Burning Man 2001 was everything you could ask for and more, After a few years of terrible weather we had the weathergods making it nice for us. Technomania Circus performed shows on Monday night Aug 27th, 2001 with pretty much an entire troupe with new addition Addeb/Dirt of the Modern Gypsies and also Bindlestiff Circus. We had trapeze, chiffon, lotsa fire performers including Shonda but don't forget  Mike & Bob's big ass flamethrowers, we had The Disappearing Technoman, we did the Paparrazzi Wars and Synchronized Lightsticks- there sure was no shortage of volunteers- we had incredible dance routines by Celafire, Kerri and Renee. WE had the incredible music of CYOHOKA and comrade Krystof playing weird ethnice beats, djeridoo and just being genreally crazed. We had blacklight illusion, we had volunteer jugglers, we had  more that I can't remember right now..so much more..... Thanks Cela, Mike , Bob, Kim & Iain, Kerri, Renne, Adeeb, Shonda, Ian, Ben & henny, Neil, Charles, The Weathegods, Illumination Village. the volunteers who participated, the strangers that smiled and all you other freaks that came by too.

After the Monday performance I got the call from the troue - we had so much fun let's do it again. So Thursday, Aug 30th at midnight we went at it again. THis time we had more of Adeeb doing his glass eating and firecracker between the toes sideshow acts as this was definitely more sideshowish. We had the incredible joint dislocating The Afflicted,  who while working for food, managed to pass himself through a tennis racket. Very strange and intriguing fella. AS new arrivals oured in another rwquest for another show came forth. Being the difficult guy I am, so off we went on Friday at midnight, this time with the famous Torture King,  He is a professional from the word go but what I enjoyed and what surprised me most was his off based humor, somwwhere along the lines of mine.  Tim, Aka THE TORTURE KING, did a variety of very wild acts. He bent propane heated red hot metal with his feet. He broke glass wine bottles and then walked on them. He then beckoned the audience "You won't ask me to jump now would you?" which they surely did and then he jumped on broken glass. He lit a fluorescent tube with his mouth while wired to electricity with his hand. He implaed himself. He walked on several swords. He performed with Adeeb for the Suffocation act. All in all it was one of the wilder shows we've ever had. Thanks for spiking our circus punch with sideshow guys !!1
