| ~ Maria ~ Thurs. Oct. 2- Berlin, DE It turns out the club we were suposed to play, Magnet, was changed to another club called Maria. After driving around for quite a while, trying to find Maria, we arrived. The club was located at the bottom of a hill next to a river by the main highway. The outside of the club looks somewhat dingy like it was from the 50' and never refurbished. We walk inside the club with the hollow echoes of our feet on concrete floor and black walls. As we stroll through the large hall to our dressing rooms in the back, I notice a huge, graphic, Warhol-esque painting of an Orgy in our catering room. Interesting. There is a weird vibe at this club. I go to use the computer and see similar pictures on the wall... 11:00- The band sounds great. Im shocked at the amount of people who came tonight! The place is completely packed. The black walls and open space provide a perfect environment for the music, sometimes eerie and haunting with warm love. It looks like a sea of people from where I am standing. The lights are great tonight and the crowd very responsive. A highlight of the night: Sea Farer. Keiths voice carries like a siren as fans give themselves to the experience. Berlin, we will not forget this show! On the road again |
