Technology Benefits Description
The benefits to the user of controlled
water-air  quenching technologies are
as follows:
Reduces process cost by  using environmentally friendly and inexpensive water-air quenchants, in place of oil quenchants.
Provides
high hardness and beneficial compressive surface stress.
New modes of  heat treatment
at the expense of application independent control
by submission a  water-air mixture on each selected zones of a detail. The number of the independent control zones of detail can achieve up to 128.
Further reduces product cost by enabling the use of lighter or smaller part designs but yielding the same or greater ultimate strength and more ductility than conventionally quenched parts.
Reduces part distortion and cracking from the heat treat process.
Reduces or eliminates the need for costly carburization cycles to obtain high surface compressive stress and a ductile core.  Core conditioning and hardened "shell" can be achieved in one through heating cycle.
Compresses the time of conventional process of cooling up to 100 times.
Technology is improve their quality and increase the longevity by 2 -  3 times than oil quenching and can increase through-put of hardening lines. At the same time cost for heat treatment have reduces by  1,5-2 times.

safe and fast.
Can be used with any heating source -- gas atmosphere furnace (batch or continuous), vacuum, induction (through heating), salt bath and fluidized bed
