Current drama-of-the-moment:
During January, Teela and Spike had passionate love that resulted in her getting pregnant. As the months rolled by, the child inside grew. Recently, she planned on making a trip back to Penthrift for a check up to find out if her pregnancy is happening in a healthy way, for the child had been rather physical in the womb. She doesn’t know what to expect of a fox/feline Demi-God(dess) birth. But, before she ever even arrived to make plans, she had to rescue her adopted child, Aral, from a plant feline predator. (Adon Tirm) Snatching Aral from the very vines of danger, Teela winds up grabbing the plant’s attention. Teela wasn’t expecting one of the plant’s overwhelming feats, a scent that drifts on the winds and capacitates a prey to be snatched. As Teela is dragged out, stripped, cruelly tortured and prepared to become a meal, the ever powerful Lurid draws near; signs that her visionary powers are becoming more like a TriCylians, by the day. In fact, she picked up on Teela’s subconscious SOS to Spike to come and rescue her at this hour of dire need. Perhaps, he never received it…or, he ignored it. Who’s to know for sure. The intrusive actions of the plant agitate the well grown, but undelivered baby so much, that it shows it’s offensive capacity by doing it’s own C-section, on the spot. While still attached to the umbilical cord, it prepares to fight with three inch long claws and teeth to match against the plant. Lurid sweeps in and snatches the baby away from harm, flying like Superman out of the scene and leaving Teela there to die by the tentacles of the plant creature.
Lurid, with new born baby in paw, goes off to find Spike and try to use the baby as bribery to form an eternal love bond with him. She also plans on using the knowledge of Teela’s death to give Spike a reason to give up on his eternal love for Teela.
Meanwhile, Teela is quickly being poisoned into a helpless state. Her lack of experience with her Demi-Goddess powers helps little as the plant predator, annoyed at losing two very active prey, pushes the paralyzed Teela into a pool of water and walks away. (Because, it prefers the challenge of the neutralization over the taking of an (now) easy meal.) Had Lurid continued to monitor the situation, she wouldn’t be so quick and proud to pronounce her sister’s death moment to Spike. (Luckily, he remains so elusive that she can’t find him quick enough. (More on that, later.)) As Teela limply floats there, the constantly burbling motions of the water both keep her afloat and drift her to the shallow portions, where the good citizen, Griff Beeks, eventually comes to her rescue. Between the two bags that they carried, the plant’s poison was neutralized and her alternative birthing procedure was completely healed. This whole incident has created a bit of an amnesia case with Teela, whom has lost all memories of Spike and partial ones with the encounter with the plant assailant. Which means that she doesn’t remember how to return to Spike’s lodgings on the ocean front. She now resides around the scene of the crime in The Vore Club, practicing her religion and filling in the blanks on her own.
There is even more apaw then either Spike or Teela currently are aware of. For, the very village and surrounding landscape that Spike and Teela had so long ago vowed to keep safe for all innocent inhabitants has gone unchecked for way too long. First, the removal of the Predatory Alliance of Penthrift permitted the populations to start escalating towards overpopulation. Next, the magically enchanted trees that could yield an endless bounty of food supplies started to encounter an insect problem, as the wealth of scents drew them from near and far. Followed up by the random actions of an unstable squirrel that, right in the middle of the night after a huge celebration, started a fire in the middle of the township of Penthrift. Having no fire department and all the residents sound asleep didn’t help. The town and all locals perished in this fire. As food was becoming corrupted with insect feeding, the word spread amok about this new land of opportunity and roaming gangs of predators soon showed up; taking and killing for sport what they may. For, there no longer was any governing force to punish them for their actions.
At long last, Lurid shows her face around the Penthrift area, in search of the missing Spike and takes note. She can easily sense that with the life and the land in jeopardy, the once fairyland story that Teela and Spike once had is now turning into a wildlings garden and their magical presence placed upon it has turned to dust. So, she turns her newly adopted Herculean of a step-son upon the forest, granting him full permission to work out, AKA de-forest the place. The unnamed kid has a ball at uprooting all the tall trees and hand breaking them into fire wood. What remaining residents are left, now are forced to scurry into what ever ground cover they can…or face the claws and jaws of yet another merciless, roaming terrorist. As the months pass and still no signs of Spike coming to deliver his little held promise and the remaining life that held the magic of this once beautiful place, Lurid lays her own dark magic into the ground, turning everything it touches to desert. What once held lush, green forests was beginning to sprout up with cacti and poisonous creatures, previously never seen upon the region. With every passing day, her cancerous change gains strength and spreads outwards in all directions, much to her delight. Also, the flowing rivers that once fed the forest had been dammed up by Humans, just a few miles upstream.
If Teela doesn’t regain her senses soon, she may never come back to Penthrift, realize all the injustice that has transpired there in her absence, and create the new temple of El Eden del Penthrift. For, the fingers of fate remain uncertain in even the most stable of times. And, this is, by far, nowhere near stable. What is worse is that Lurid has since learned a nice trick from a vampire demon named Syrus Blade. Poor Teela’s upbringing has left her so disconnected from the notions of sex that when Syrus Blade touched her very soul to stimulate her urges, it also triggered a lingering side effect of the TriCylian DNA restructuring. In other words, when she gets even semi-horny, she shifts to the form of a pure vixen animal, devoid of speech or higher thought patterns. With Lurid having such power over her, will she try and keep Teela from ever being anything more then a four legged, wandering beast? It certainly isn’t doing her swiss cheesed memory any favors on remembering Penthrift, who Spike is or even their son. Kaoru sure thinks this situation is in dire need of restoration. And, he is right.
Even further situations have arisen, where Syrus Blade has since been altered from a devil to a fallen angel, devoid of his powers. Lurid has attempted to adopt the vixen Teela after discovering her vast potential to become insanely strong in her barely tapped abilities. Her notions are not very pure, concerning learning about and governing these abilities. Lurid also desires to keep Teela as feral as possible, by introducing a device that stimulates her hormones to keep her in heat. But, after a dispute over a ground squirrel that Teela was protecting, Lurid and Teela have, once again, reached some less then friendly terms. And, for one brief moment, Teela shared with the ground squirrel an anthro moment. One where she made a promise. The magical thing is, she implanted the thought into her sub-conscious mind, and it stuck. It stuck more then that thought there, though. For, she will quickly become a blend of animal fox form with a mind set that dwells with a direct connection to those abilities, worthy of her Goddess status.
And then…there is Marcus. He is an angel that has been appearing infrequently in Lurid’s dreams. What clues he offers to her suggest that destiny is never quite what it seems. For, he suggests that they are true star crossed lovers and when the time is right, she will never show false love towards anyone. But, she must go through absolute Hell to reach her blossoming point for him to save her at. Until then, he is, for the most part, a future echo in her thoughts and dreams.
Still, on a side note, yet another child of Teela’s has been found. Artic Ice Fox, son of Fox Amoore and Foxy Rose, has recently run into the reindeer captain during a totally time twisted travel. One that Teela has had no recollection of, what-so-ever. Perhaps, this one is a future echo? Only time will tell.
The stage is set. The cast, coming together. The "War of the Roses looms on the horizon and nobody will be able to get out of it’s way. Brace for impact…
