After September 11, 2001 when the World Trade Center was attacked, everyone has gone sensitive about the attack and picked up this so-called patriotism. The old-fashioned patriots, are true hardcore patriots, who I don`t exactly like. But at least they`re true to what they support. If any of America`s new so-called "Patriots", were truly their name, they would be sensitive about alot more then the WTC attack. Such as the offensive terms, Jews and natzis. Those terms are used alongside your other usual schoolyard insults today. Any REAL "patriot" would regard World War II as close as the WTC attack. And besides, this "War on Terrorism" isn`t a war.
Don`t get me wrong, I have earned very much dislike for Al-Qaida and Mr. Osama. I`m just tired of everyone being so damn sensitive. The old hardcore patriots are a dying breed, and the new generation of so-called "Patriots" are just sell-outs, supporting America and claiming to be Patriots only because it`s "in-style".
If you haven`t noticed lately, America is no longer the "land of the free". Corporate control, dirty politics, and such is what America has become.
In my opinion, Mr. Bush called this a "war" just for us to distract us. If the goverment said that patriots think the sky is pink, I think some of you would actually believe them. This "war" is letting the government keep you close-minded. Open your eyes. |
