The reason that I have so much hate for MTV is because it is all worried about image. Image, to me, is asking for a label. Asking for a label is; trying to impress or distinguish yourself as "cool". I detest this idea. And, MTV only plays what it thinks is "popular". Popularity of a product doesn`t neccessarily define its quality. But alas, MTV believes this. MTV also is known for excluding Punk, Heavy Metal, and Hard Rock bands, in exchange for its nonstop playing of Rap and Pop. If you enjoy Rap and Pop, I will not exclude or discrimate against you. Even though my opinion is that Rap and Pop don`t exactly require talent...
On another issue, I`d like to discuss this Carson Daily or whatever his name is. In my opinion, the scumbag should be dragged, quartered, and shot. But then again, that`s me talking.
I might as well broach the subject of MTV not even being a music television station anymore. Shows dominate on this channel, and shows of low-quality, I must add. All in all, MTV is just a bad influence on a large number of today`s youth, and I wish an end put to it. |
