Glenn - 24 Years Old - Oregon
I was born with hydrocephalus, my ventricles are small. So, if my shunt goes bad, then my ventricles will not change. My first operation was at 2 months old, the second was at 4 months. When I was 9 months old, I had an aneurysm and at that time I also had a malfunction. I had another malfunction at the age of 3 and yet another one at the age of 5. This one was the last. It has been 18 years since then. I do not have any other problems. My shunt hurts a bit, but it's not bad pain. I had problems with math and tests in school. I am a drafter now. I went to 3 years of college but am having a hard time finding work. I travel alot, I am in Norway now. I play all kinds of sports; like tackle football, hockey, basketball, surfing, wakeboarding, and downhill skiing. I am in competition for wakeboarding. I do 360s and a bit of other tricks. I also ski. I do moguls and jumps..I am a pretty crazy skier. I have hurt myself a bit, but I guess that's just the way I am...I have to go hard. I have hit my head a bit in skiing. Someday I would like to try skydiving and scuba diving...maybe I will try bungi-jumping.
