Billy Hallowell was born on September 28, 1983.  He was born in Rochester, New York and is an only child.  Since he was young he has wanted to be a journalist and in August of 2002 he will be moving to New York City to begin college at Mount Saint Vincent.

Teen Web Online came about in December of 1999 when Billy decided to take action after the Columbine shooting in April of that year.  The idea for an interactive web site came about after numerous discussions and plans to create an interactive talk show in which a massive amount of funding was needed.

Since the launch of Teen Web Online Billy has had many amazing honors and experiences.  Teen Web Online has gained the support of MTV, SHiNE, and many other organizations.  In 2002 Billy was offered his own column on SHiNE.com which is published bi-weekly called "Hallowed Ground."  He has appeared in COSMO Girl Magazine and in the winter of 2002 he was officially added to "The Wall of Tolerance."  "The Wall of Tolerance" is a structure being built in Montgomery, Alabama for those who have worked to end discrimination in our world.  The honor was offered to Billy by Morris Dees and Rosa Parks, who is co-chairing the Tolerance Project.

Billy Hallowell plans to major in journalism while at St. Vincent, and he plans to continue his work on Teen Web Online.  Stay tuned for

Dear Teen Web Online Visitor,

Thank you for taking the time to visit Teen Web Online.  I created Teen Web two years ago as an outlet and place for teenagers to receive information on anti-violence and anti-discrimination.  The original plan for Teen Web was a television show airing locally in Rochester, NY.  When the need for major funding for the project occured the idea for an interactive web site evolved.  Since then I have had an amazing time interviewing different people, designing, and enjoying Teen Web, and encountering amazing opportunities.
A lot of resources are available on the web site.  If you are researching violence or discrimination it is the perfect place to look!  I continue to try to create the most interactive environment possible.
Please enjoy Teen Web and all it has to offer.  You can log onto Teen Web by going through

Sincerely,
Billy Hallowell
President/Creator of Teen Web Online
