| 990714.COM. Starring - Wayne Lai Yiu - Lau Siu Gwan - Kong Lai Loh - Chu Yin Chun. Directed by - Kwong Kam Wang / Hui Mei Kwan Ma Ster is a script writer who is being pressured into producing a really scary script. What follows are 3 of his horrific tales. Internet Ghost Stories. Sister and Sister. Ghost Fooling. All 3 stories are set in the same school dormitory and all 3 also contain the same characters acting in different scenarios. The first sees seven friends in their search for their missing friend Ada. The second is about a woman re-living the death of her sister and the third tells the tale of a very tired decorator. What amazed me most about this movie was the directors inability to form any kind of coherent plot. Nothing in this film is original - the music is stolen from Nightmare on Elm Street, the camera angles are stolen from every horror movie ever made - however the director decides to use these angles over and over till you cant take no more and the plot is stolen from the mind of a 2 year old. Most of the scenes are predictable, the ones that are not are just plain ridiculous. I haven't really reviewed the individual tales because they are rubbish and convoluted. An absolute waste of time and effort. I can only imagine the look of the films sponsors when they got to see this movie. But what you want to know is if the movie is scary. In a word NO! 2**stars. And thats being generous. |
