WHO's THE 5th BEATLE?
Is there one? Decide for yourself...below is a little information on the candidates for 5th Beatle that I've heard of, (minus Murray the K).

GEORGE MARTIN:
George Martin, as the Beatle's producer, was heavily involved in "the Beatle sound" and it was he, who often put the special touches in the Beatle's songs which made them so very dynamic and appreciated to this day.

PETE BEST:
As the drummer for the Beatles up to the very beginnings of fame, Pete endured the harsher points of being a "pre-fame" Beatle, only to be sacked right before the Beatle's popularity soared. His replacement was of course, none other than Ringo Starr.

BRIAN EPSTEIN:
As the Beatle's manager, Brian was one of the few who was in the highly selective Beatles "social" circle. Brian, though uninvolved in the musical aspects of the Beatles, was, perhaps, the person closest to the Beatles, not only as a manager, but as a friend and confidante

Stuart Sutcliffe:
As the only one of two people (the other being Pete Best) who could ever rightly call himself a Beatle besides the fab four themselves. Stuart was not asked to join the Beatles based on his musical merit, but rather, the fact that John Lennon was his good friend. Consequently, he was'nt much of a bass player, and so he quit the band. He later died of a brain hemorhage before the Beatles became famous.
Jimmy Nichols
Jimmy was a temporary band member, sitting in on the drums while Ringo was sick. He is the only non-Beatle to ever perform as a Beatle on a Beatles tour.
