Do You Believe In Angels?

3/11/04 - Testimony resumes Thursday in the trial of what some call one of the worst domestic violence cases in Austin's recent history. Guy Len Allen is charged with capital murder. He's accused of killing his girlfriend and her child. Wednesday, the jury heard one of the victim's desperate calls for help moments before she died. The 911 call came in around 5 a.m. on April 3, 2002. The woman screaming on the phone is Janette Johnson. When police arrived just a few minutes later, they found Janette dead on the kitchen floor. "When we got to the kitchen, we found what appeared to be a black female lying on her back with a large amount of blood around her," Officer Dawn King with the Austin Police Department said. The bloody crime scene continued outside of the house. There was the killer's bloody footprint on the ground, blood smears on the porch, the door and the sidewalk. In the back of the house, police found Jeannette's mother, Barbara Hill. She, too, had been stabbed to death. "She was face down, kind of hunched over, had one hand on the chain link fence," Officer Chantal Locke with the Austin Police Department said. Police say the bloody trail ultimately lead them to Allen. He was Hill's live-in boyfriend. Prosecutors say he went into a violent rage when Hill tried to throw him out of the house. Meet Me at the Water

We gathered at the water in His Name. We brought with us doubt and hate, and we found faith and love. Meet with me at the water as when He met John, Baptized to cleanse the soul and be re-born. Meet with me at the water as when Moses had faith, enough faith that could make a sea part a path, step out on faith where no solid ground can be seen and He will promise, “You won’t fall or stumble.” Without faith prayer is dead. He was there in the midnight hour when you called His name. He was there early in the morning when He heard you cry. Tell Him what you want, because He already knows what you need. He died for me, and didn’t say a mumbling word. Meet with me at the water where Noah built an ark on a mission of faith. You know, water cleanses away dirt, dirt that carries shame, guilt, and sin. Meet with me at the water where I heard a family gathered in love, gathered in faith, and waited on Him. We all are waiting on something, but oh, I know something I’d rather wait on, the kind of wait where it may take my whole life waiting, but I won’t complain because see, I can’t complain. He is the King of Kings and I know He is Uncle’s walking cane, I know He is Momma’s love for her children, and Daddy’s cure for cancer. He will make a way out of no way. Maybe you know Him as someone else … But I know Him for what He has done for me.

Trying to Get There

Trying to get there where peace and open arms await,
knowing not the time nor the hour but always
remember heaven awaits. Voices from heaven called upon missing
angels, so let’s celebrate knowing how they got there is by their
faith. So remember the good times we all shared and the moments
that made us smile and always remember that faith got them by so
do not cry, and keep in your heart knowing that the Lord wants us
to smile .....

Love Always,
Your family

With Love Always ...

From a Loving Son and a Loving Brother,
Marvin R. Johnson, Jr.

Love is…
Patient and Kind;
It is not jealous
Conceited or proud:
Love is not
Ill-mannered or selfish or irritable;
Love does not
Keep a record of wrongs;
Love is not
Happy with evil,
But is happy with the truth.
Love never gives up,
And it`s faith,
Hope and patience never fails.
Love is ETERNAL.

May you both
rest in eternal peace.
We love you.
You are in our hearts
and thoughts forever.

Our lives are sad because you are gone, but in our hearts we know
you are not alone. We thank God for the limited time we shared.
We will cherish the memories forever. If only we could go back for
one last visit, one last phone call, one last smile, or one last hello.

If only ....
Your Dad & Family
