Here is the Per's section devoted to Kemet or neter-inspired artwork. All of the drawings you'll find here so far are my own; if you have any original images you've created and would like to see here, please e-mail me first to let me know what you have. Send the image as an attachment only AFTER I have replied to your e-mail. You keep all rights; I would just like it to look like I am not hogging these pages for myself. :)

(Even in the off chance somebody actually e-mails me a request to post their picture, it is not guaranteed that I will. I would prefer that the drawing at least be of some quality, please. And no yiff or porn or anything of the sort...this is a family site. :) )

I have had many problems with GeoCities' bandwidth policy concerning one of my other, image-intensive sites, and so if you ever come to the Per to find it has been "temporarily" shut down, then these images are probably the reason why. Blame Yahoo!, and try again later.

If an image doesn't load properly, please click Refresh. Hope you enjoy.

Lord Upuat, by Tehuti. He has the spear of the royal guard over his shoulder, but favors the sword hanging at his side. (That's Upu, set in his ways.) He serves as first lieutenant to the king, and is the opener of royal processions as well as a guardian of the Hall of Maati. For some reason he looks abnormally cheerful in this picture, which is very strange, considering his usual nature. He's blunt to the point of being rude, and doesn't get along very well with anybody...except maybe Anubis. Because of his past history (see my short stories section), many of the other neteru distrust him, and this is a constant thorn in his side.

I'm not satisfied with the way the body turned out, but aside from that goofy grin, I think his face turned out rather well.

Lady Bastet, by Tehuti. She is Hathor's naive, cheerful younger sister and the favorite child of God Ra; he practically dotes on her, and submits to her every whim. Good thing the most dastardly of her whims involve riding on the sun boat or petting kittens by the pool.

I'm not very happy with this drawing at all--she should look a bit more wild, probably--but at least it's something. Maybe I'll do better another day.

Prince Anubis, by Tehuti. He's Horus's older half-brother, alternately caring, compassionate, and empathic, or moody, sulky, and selfish. He's very intelligent, having been one of Thoth's best students, but prefers intuitive or emotional matters to intellectual. He's very loyal, yet brazenly defies authority should it suit him. He brings death to mortals, yet hates killing, fighting, and bloodshed. He also hates being lonely, yet spends most of his time alone. Hm. I guess you should say he's contradictory.

I'm only somewhat satisfied with this pic. I could not draw him in three-quarters view, and so this is what I did. I would re-upload this in jpg format rather than gif, but the original drawing has been misplaced.

(And yes, he's wearing his boomerang on the wrong side. Maybe he's ambidextrous, too? Wouldn't doubt it.)

Lord Set, by Tehuti. (Technically, he's a prince, but not many of the neteru refer to him by that title, for obvious reasons.) Of course you will recognize the wicked uncle of Horus, and deceitful brother of Osiris. He can be incredibly patient to achieve his ends...but then again, he can be incredibly vicious as well. His sister Isis is one of the few bold enough to stand up to his bullying in my novel. Aside from all he's done, though, I don't see him as entirely evil. He's just had his pride badly wounded. Who can't relate to that?

I'm mostly satisfied with this drawing, except for the facts that 1. I forgot to give him his earrings, and 2. he looks a bit crazy here, maybe because I forgot to give him his earrings.
